How to Generate and Import Product Meta Title & Meta Description Using ChatGPT Assistant

In this tutorial, we’ll show you how to automatically generate and import product Meta Titles and Meta Descriptions using the ChatGPT Assistant in the Sync Master app.

This is especially useful if you have a large number of products without SEO metadata and want to quickly create unique, optimized titles and descriptions using AI.

Step 1: Upload Your File and Select Product Key

Complete the first import step — upload your file and select a product identification key (for example, Title, Handle, or SKU).

Step 2: Open the ChatGPT Assistance Tab

In the second import step, navigate to the «ChatGPT Assistance» tab:

Step 3: Enter Your OpenAI API Key

Paste your OpenAI API Key into the OpenAI Config section:

Step 4: Validate the API Key

Click the «Check» button to make sure the API key works correctly:

Step 5: Create a New Field for Meta Title

Create a new AI field — for example, “Product Meta Title” — and write your prompt for ChatGPT. This prompt will tell the model how to generate your meta title based on existing product data:

Step 6: Use Shortcodes from Your File

You can use shortcodes like [product_title], [collections], or [tags] from your file to dynamically include product data in the AI prompt. This helps generate unique SEO content for each product automatically:

Step 7: Preview the AI Output

Click the preview icon next to your field to test how ChatGPT generates the result:

Step 8: Create a Field for Meta Description

Now, create one more AI field — for example, “Product Meta Description” — and write a prompt that describes how the meta description should be generated:

Step 9: Save or Add More AI Fields

Don’t forget to click “Save AI Fields” or add another field using the corresponding buttons:

Step 10: Assign Generated Fields to SEO Settings

Go to the «SEO Listing Preview» tab and select the fields you created — for example, assign “Product Meta Title” to Page Title and “Product Meta Description” to Description:

Step 11: Save or Start Import

Once everything is configured, you can save the template for future use or click «Import Now» to start generating and importing SEO metadata for your products.
